An incredibly thought provoking episode this week with Richard McDougall who from a young age was mentored by the legendary Alan Alan. Richard discusses how his mime and physical comedy training helped mould the way he communicates with his magic. Also he discusses taking his act to FISM, analyses what it is that makes David Williamson perhaps the greatest magician in the world, his work on the first Derren Brown TV shows, why he loves Michael Carbonaro and also why to him the plot is far more interesting than the trick.
Richard also discusses his work with the amazing Breathe Magic a programme that helps children with brain injuries learn magic to improve their mental and physical health.
